KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men’s tennis team closed out its second to last road trip of the season with a 7-0 loss to No. 75 North Florida on Saturday afternoon at the UNF Tennis Complex.
The loss drops the Owls to 8-8 (3-3 A-Sun) for the season, while the win improves North Florida to 9-6 (4-1 A-Sun) on the year.
“I don't think we had anything left in the tank today once the doubles was decided,” head coach #T.J. Greggs# said. “Yesterday was a brutal match that took a lot out of us, and we simply wilted in the heat and in a very difficult environment today. We'll learn from this and do a better job in the future of controlling our own destiny, because we simply couldn't catch a break today on many levels.”
The Black and Gold got its best effort from sophomore
Elliot Kahler at the No. 4 singles position as he wound up losing a touch 6-2, 4-6, 10-6 match.
Kennesaw State will now return home to host Wright State in a non-conference match on Monday, March 21at 1:00 p.m. at the Laurel Park Tennis Center.
