As A Freshman (2010)
Had an excellent freshman season for the Owls as he played in a total of 19 singles matches ... finished the year with a 10-9 record, and his 10 singles wins led the team ... recorded a10-8 record at the No. 5 and No. 6 spots last year, including a three-set, come from behind, win at the No 5 position on Feb. 6 against Campbell’s Dominik Kaniewski 6-7, 6-4, 1-0 ... did a great job of picking up the collegiate doubles game as he had a hand in just under one-third of the Owls doubles victories going 8-12.
Before Kennesaw State
Played his ninth and tenth grade tennis at Carrollton high school at the No. 1 singles spot, and trained at Saddlebrook Prep. in Tampa, Florida for his junior and senior years reaching as high as No. 3 on the school-wide ranking ladder ... as a senior, he received the award for sportsmanship, leadership, and dedication.

Born on December 14, 1990 ... son of Caroline and Stephen Kahler ... has two brothers named Ian, who plays tennis at Campbell, and Nick ... history major in the Bagwell College of Education.
