ORANGE PARK, Fla. - The Kennesaw State women's golf team finished their spring break road trip with a T-13th performance at the JMU Eagle Landing Invite. The Owls turned in a (312-303-307/922, +58) over the the span of three days at the Eagle Landing Golf Club.
The Black and Gold stayed constant throughout the 54-holes finishing 12th after rounds one and two before dropping to 13th in the finals. The Owls were once again led by the play of freshmen
Hayley Clinning and Ket Preamchuen, as both individuals finished T-26th shooting (226, +10).
The remainder of the Owls,
Abby Fitzgerald finished T-30th, carding a (77-74-76/227, +11) and
Molly Winnett finished T-84th after shooting a(85-79-79/243, +27).
Chelcia Petersen did not compete due to a back injury.
Chattanooga (34) led after each of the three rounds posting a (859, -5) to win by 33-strokes over second place East Carolina (892, +28). Atlantic Sun member Campbell wrapped up third place shooting a (894, +30).
Individual honors were awarded to the Moc's Christine Wolf (209, -7) who set a tournament record after her second round score of (66). Chattanooga teammate Emma de Groot placed second recording a (213, -3). Miami's Maria Ronderos finished in third after carding a (215, -1).
The Owls have close to three weeks off before returning to action at the Liz Murphy Invitational, Apr. 1-3 in Athens, Ga.
