LAS VEGAS- Kennnesaw State Owls junior Aaron Anderson was named to the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic All-Tournament Team, tournament organizers announced this week. Anderson was solid throughout the four-game event, averaging 7.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.

Anderson recorded two double-doubles during the eight-team tournament, which was played at both campus sites and at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. He logged 10 points and pulled down 11 rebounds at Saint Mary’s on Monday, Dec. 19, before going for 13 points and a career-high 17 rebounds in the Owls, 69-65, win, over Texas A&M Corpus Christi on Friday, Dec. 23. The 17 rebounds were one shy of matching the program’s single-game Division I record.

The tournament consisted of the Owls, Tennessee Tech, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Bethune Cookman, Baylor, Saint Mary’s, West Virginia, and Missouri State.

Anderson and the Owls return to the floor this Friday, when they visit the Ohio Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. The game will mark the end of their December in which they played all eight of their games away from the KSU Convocation Center.
