Stadium Journey Review
KENNESAW, Ga. – The KSU Convocation Center recently received an overall score of 3.9 on a 5.0 scale for overall fan experience by Stadium Journey, a publication that is dedicated to visiting and evaluating venues that host collegiate and professional sporting events. The score is currently tied for the 27
th highest among the 131 NCAA Division I men’s basketball arenas that have been reviewed.
The review, which was conducted during the Owls double-overtime defeat to South Carolina State on Nov. 26, took all aspects of the fan experience into account. Specifically, the score was based on seven categories; Food & Beverage, Atmosphere, Neighborhood, Fans, Access, Return on Investment, and Extras. The Convocation Center received perfect, 5-out-of-5 scores for Access and Return on Investment.
With a total score of 3.9, KSU Convocation Center currently holds the highest score among the five Atlantic Sun Conference arenas that have been visited to this point, and has been graded higher than a number of arenas that are the home to teams from all six “power” conferences (Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, ACC, Pac 12). The score was also the highest among the four venues reviewed in the state of Georgia.
