KENNESAW, Ga. - Coming off of a convincing, 26-point victory on Wednesday evening, the Kennesaw State Owls are looking for their third straight win on Saturday when they host the South Carolina State Bulldogs at the KSU Convocation Center at 5 p.m.
The Owls (2-2) had four score in double figures in their, 72-46, win over Reinhardt on Thanksgiving Eve. Delbert Love scored 16 points and was complemented by Romain Henry (15), Markeith Cummings (14) and Spencer Dixon.
Bring a Friend to the Game, and a Teddy Bear: All fans who buy a regular-priced ticket to Saturday's game will receive a second ticket free. In addition, fans who bring a teddy bear to donate to Must Ministries on Saturday will receive five-dollar admission. KSU students are admitted free to all KSU athletic events with a valid student ID, and are encouraged to bring teddy bears to donate.

Convocation Center, We Hardly Knew Thee: The Owls made their 2011-12 home debut on Wednesday evening against Reinhardt, and after Saturday evening, will not play another home game until Monday, Jan. 2. Between now and then they will play eight games away from home over the course of 36 days.
The Owls vs. the MEAC: Saturday will mark the Owls first-ever match-up against South Carolina State. The Bulldogs compete in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, with the Owls having an all-time record of 2-3 against opponents from that league. They last faced a MEAC program on Dec. 13, 2008, falling to Florida A&M, 63-58.
Let’s Make it Three Straight: After dropping their first two games of the season, the Owls will try to win three consecutive games. Since joining NCAA Division I in 2005-06, the Black and Gold have never had a three-game winning streak during the month of November.
About South Carolina State:
-The Bulldogs were picked to finish 10th in the 13-team MEAC in preseason after finishing 8th in the conference last season. They are led by junior guard Khalif Toombs, who is averaging 13.0 points per game to go along with 4.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per contest.
-The Bulldogs cast a wide net when they did their recruiting- The 13 players on their roster hail from a total of seven different states as well as three different countries, counting the USA.
-Their head coach, Tim Carter, is similar to Owls head Coach Lewis Preston in that he has been an assistant coach at major conference program, such as Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Florida State and Northwestern.
