DUNN, N.C. - With just four Atlantic Sun Conference matches to go in the regular season, the Kennesaw State volleyball team will begin its final push for the A-Sun Championships this Friday on the road as it battles Campbell in Bues Creek. Match time is set for 6 p.m. with live audio available on KSUOwls.com by clicking

"It's good to get back in A-Sun play after a week off," said KSU head coach Karen Weatherington. "Campbell is battling for a spot in the A-Sun Championships, and they'll be fighting as hard as they can to earn their spot. We'll have to come out strong and best their intensity from the first serve to the final whistle."
The Owls (13-9, 5-1) have won five straight matches, including a tough, 3-0, sweep of Alabama A&M last weekend on the road. Sabrita Gulley had 15 kills in the match, while Sara Metroka had 40 assists, including 21 in the final set. KSU has won 11 of its last 14 matches, with Gulley averaging 3.76 kills per set during that stretch and Alyssa Lang averaging 3.00 kills and 3.11 digs.
The Camels (9-14, 3-3) are currently tied for sixth with Jacksonville in the A-Sun, but CU is just one-half match behind Belmont for the fourth spot and just two matches behind KSU in second place. As has been a trend throughout the season, the Owls will be facing the reining A-Sun Player of the Week. Allyson Goldbach of the Camels was bestowed the award last Monday after recording 21 kills and 23 digs in a five-set win over Coastal Carolina.
The Owls split the season series with the Camels last season, with the road team winning on each occasion.
Following Friday evening's match, the Owls will return to action next Friday when they host East Tennessee State at 7 p.m.
