KENNESAW, Ga. - Sabrita Gulley and Asjia Stokes combined for 39 of Kennesaw State volleyball's 57 kills as the Owls fell 3-1 (25-22, 25-19, 26-24, 25-10) to Campbell Saturday afternoon at the KSU Convocation Center in an Atlantic Sun Conference match.

"We struggled passing the ball effectively against Campbell's serve," said KSU head coach Karen Weatherington, who saw her team drop back-to-back matches for the first time all season.  "Campbell performed very well and did a good job getting us out of our offensive flow."

Gulley had 21 kills for the Owls, three off of her 24 the night before against East Tennessee State.  Stokes had 18 kills for the Owls.  Both players converted double-doubles as Gulley had 11 kills, while Stokes had 10.  Rachael Albright also had a double-double for the Owls, with 36 assists to go with 17 digs.

The Owls (7-3, 2-2) trailed 2-0 in the match before coming back to take the third set from the Camels (8-4, 3-1).  KSU led 17-16 before kills by Stokes and Gulley and blocks by Gulley and Callie Churchwell helped the Owls push the lead back up to five, 21-16.  KSU would lead 24-20, but with four set points in hand, the Owls couldn't convert as Campbell came back to tie the set, 24-24.  Gulley helped to restore order wtih a kill to give the Owls set point again, and after a Campbell attack error, the Owls had the set, 26-24.

The fourth set would prove to be one of the worst of the season for the Owls as KSU hit for a -.036 attack percentage, falling 25-10.  KSU would only earn two points on serve in the set.

Chelsey Denesha had 10 kills for the Owls, while Grace Hoyt saw her first action of the season for KSU in the third set, collecting seven assists in the frame.
