Wade Richardson enters his second year with the Kennesaw State baseball staff, serving as the Director of Player Development, where he primarily oversees the infield and defensive positioning.
A native of Powder Springs, Ga., Richardson attended Hillgrove High School before beginning his collegiate playing career at Columbia State Community College, where he competed from 2020-22. During his two seasons at Columbia State, Richardson batted above .300 each year and earned two All-Conference selections.
Richardson completed his playing career at Kennesaw State University from 2023-24, where he made 37 starts and posted a .395 on-base percentage.
This past summer, Richardson worked with the Cape Catfish of the Prospect League as the team’s hitting coach and third base coach. Under his leadership, the Catfish captured a league championship and excelled offensively, ranking second in extra-base hits and third in runs scored across the league.
Richardson earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kennesaw State and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
