Kennesaw State University Athletics

Savana Alexander has been with the SASS staff since October 2018 and serves as our Director of Learning Support. She has been working in the Athletic Academic support field for almost 10 years and served as the first and only Learning Specialist at both Appalachian State and Kennesaw State. She also worked at East Mississippi Community College and Mississippi State University.
 
In her role as the Director of Learning Support, Savana develops and implements individualized learning plans for our student-athletes, as well as ensures that all student-athletes have the skills, tools, and resources they need for academic success at KSU. 
 
Savana earned her undergraduate degree in Spanish and Linguistics from Mississippi State, where she also obtained certification to teach English to speakers of other languages (TESOL). She continued her education at Mississippi State and completed two Master's degrees in Sports Administration and Special Education. She also earned a Graduate Certificate in Personalized Learning from KSU in 2023
