Megan Stoltzfus was hired in July 2022 as the first-ever Director of Student-Athlete Development at Kennesaw State. In her new role, she will work to coordinate different aspects of the KSU FlightPlan for student athletes on campus.
Stoltzfus has served at Kennesaw State since October 2019, first starting as a career and internship advisor with the career planning and development department. In this role, Stoltzfus advised students in the College of Science & Math, the Wellstar College of Health & Human Services and KSU student-athletes on career-related areas such as: resumes, cover letters, job searches, interviews, and networking.
While working with KSU students, Stoltzfus customized workshops on career topics to classes and student organizations. She assisted in facilitating the Summer Bridge course for incoming freshman and transfers to trigger career exploration to aid in student’s determining a major.
As she pursued her master’s degree, Stoltzfus completed her practicum by working as the KSU Student-Athlete Development/Learning Specialist Intern. In this role, she worked one-on-one to implement learning strategies and effective study skills to help student-athletes manage the time demands of academics and athletics.
Prior to Kennesaw State, Stoltzfus worked as a client executive for You Are Here (formerly CSE) from 2016-19. She was responsible for multiple marketing partnerships and activations including Aflac, PGA, AT&T, Synovus, and Children’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon event. She directed the Coca-Cola Campus Ambassador education conference and collaborated with student committees at universities across the nation to plan and execute branded activations.
Stoltzfus is a member of both the National Association of Academic & Student-Athlete Development Professionals and the National Association of Colleges & Employers.
The Pennsylvania native holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and advertising from Penn State (May 2012) and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Georgia Southern (Dec. 2021). She currently resides in Marietta, Ga.
