Kristen Dyer

Kristen Dyer is an athletic trainer at Kennesaw State, where she provides medical care for the Owls’ softball program.  In her role, Dyer oversees injury evaluation and rehabilitation, maintains daily injury reports, develops arm care and recovery programs, assists with pre-participation physicals, and collaborates with team physicians, physical therapists, strength and conditioning staff, and coaches to deliver comprehensive care for student-athletes.

Dyer joined Kennesaw State after serving as an assistant athletic trainer at Limestone University from October 2023 to May 2025, working primarily with women’s soccer and baseball. She previously gained professional experience with the Baltimore Orioles organization as a seasonal assistant athletic trainer in 2023, assigned to the Double-A Bowie Baysox, and completed multiple clinical rotations while in graduate school, including with the University of Georgia’s football, baseball and women’s gymnastics programs.

A native of Georgia, Dyer earned a Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Georgia in 2023 as part of the program’s inaugural cohort. She completed her Bachelor of Science in kinesiology with a concentration in sports medicine from the University of North Georgia in 2021, graduating magna cum laude. Dyer is certified by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers, is a nationally registered EMT, and holds athletic training licensure in Georgia, South Carolina and Florida. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association and Georgia Athletic Trainers’ Association.
