Kim Fletcher is entering her ninth season as an assistant coach in the Kennesaw State volleyball program, rejoining the staff for the 2023 season.
Fletcher was first a member of staff during head coach Keith Schunzel’s first six seasons at Kennesaw State, from 2013 – 2018. During that stint, the Owls recorded their first regular season and tournament Atlantic Sun championships, including a bid to the NCAA tournament in 2017.Â
In 2017, Fletcher also graduated from Kennesaw State with a PhD in International Conflict Management, prompting her to take a break from the coaching ranks to join The HALO Trust, a humanitarian organization that works with conflict-affected communities to clear landmines and other explosive remnants of war. Fletcher is continuing her work for HALO, but is now back with the Owls as a volunteer for the 2023 season.Â
As a player, Fletcher was a middle hitter at the University of Notre Dame, helping take the Irish to four NCAA tournament appearances. She later played in Klagenfurt, Austria, with the Sparkasse Wildcats.Â

Since coming to Georgia, Fletcher has also been heavily involved in the club volleyball scene, serving as a director of the non-travel teams at Cobb Atlanta Juniors until its close in 2021, and as a youth coach with Tsunami Cobb Volleyball Club.
