2009 Season
Had an impressive freshman campaign, earning All A-Sun honors in the A-Sun Outdoor Championships in the Long Jump and Triple Jump, with jumps of 5.75 Meters and 11.87 Meters, respectively, and finishes of second and third...5.75 Meter mark in the Long Jump set a new KSU Indoor record... Was just as successful at the A-Sun Outdoor Championships, earning two more All A-Sun honors with a pair of third place finishes in the Long Jump and Triple with efforts of 5.55 Meters and 11.95 Meters, respectively...Opened up her outdoor career with fifth place performances at the UNF Invitational in the Long Jump and Triple Jump, notching marks of 5.34 Meters and 11.11 Meters, respectively...Had a solid performance in the High Jump at the Seminole Twilight, finishing fourth with a top clearing height of 1.65 Meters...Also placed third in the Long Jump at the Seminole Twilight with a 5.38 Meter jump and fifth in the Triple Jump at 11.03 Meters...
Prep Career
Van-Lare participated in track and field at Lassiter High School for four years, during which time she was named MVP of the track team. At Lassiter, she was the school record holder of the 300M hurdles and 4 by 1, as well as the Senior and Junior record holder of Triple Jump and 300M hurdles. In addition, Van-Lare was an AAU State Champion and an AAU Region runner-up.

Born Suzzette Van-Lare on June 15, 1990 ...daughter of Modesta and Francis Van-Lare ...Has two sisters, Alexandria (20) and Katherine (13) ...Van-Lare is majoring in Health and Exercise Science, and plans to become a physician following graduation.
