Finished in eighth in pole vault at the Appalachian Indoor Track Invitational to start the indoor season... Got her highest finish of the indoor season at the A-Sun Indoor Championships, placing seventh in pole vault clearing a top mark of 2.95 meters... Set a personal record at the Auburn War Eagle Invitational 4/16, clearing 3.25 meters for seventh place... Finished 11th at the A-Sun Outdoor Championships with a 2.95 meter top mark.

2008-2009 Season
Kicked off her collegiate career with a fifth place finish in the Pole Vault at the UNC Classic, with a top clearing height of 2.95 Meters...Earned All A-Sun honors in the Pole Vault with a second place finish in the A-Sun Indoor Championships with a 2.90 Meter mark...Finished fifth at the A-Sun Outdoor Championships in the Pole Vault, clearing 3.10 Meters, her best performance of 2009...

Prep Career
Lettered in track for three years at Gordon Central High School in Calhoun, Ga..While at Gordon Central, Hightower was seventh in the state of Georgia AAAA in pole vaulting... her personal record in high school was 9’6”... Also earned four varsity letters in cheer and one in tennis.
