2009-2010 Season
Competed in the shot put and weight throw during the indoor season... Finished third in shot put and first in weight throw at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational 1/30... Earned All-Conference honors at the A-Sun Indoor Championships for a third place finish in shot put... Had a streak of five top five finishes at the Beynon Catamounts Classic and JSU Gem of the Hills Invitational from 3/27 to 4/3... Threw season best distances in discus (41.62 m) and hammer (44.91 m) at the A-Sun Outdoor Championships.

2008-2009 Season
Competed in the Shot Put, Hammer Throw and Discus during outdoor season...Made a splash in her first conference championship,winning the A-Sun Outdoor championship in the Discus with a throw of 42.44 Meters and finishing third in the Shot Put at 12.47 Meters, garnering All A-Sun honors for both and setting a pair of new KSU outdoor records...Posted three top-10 finishes at the Seminole Twilight, finishing sixth in the Discus and the Hammer Throw and eighth in the Shot Put with toses of 35.43 Meters, 39.74 Meters, and 11.63 Meters, respectively...Recorded a fourth place finish at the Clemson Invitational in the Discus with a toss of 38.71 Meters.

Prep Career
During her junior year, Hawhorne placed eighth in the county in discus... At regionals during her senior year, Hawthorne placed third in the discus and sixth in the shot put.

Born Chiquita Brandise Hawthorne in Smyrna, GA ...daughter of Bernice Scott ...Majoring in Early Childhood Education.
