  • Finished his career at the top of several rankings in KSU’s history books.
  • Ranked at the top of several records in KSU D-I program history, including career innings pitched with 267.2 – 33.2 frames ahead of Josh Carr's mark from 2010-12.
  • Ranks first with 39 career starts on the mound and tied for second in program history with 16 wins.
  • Finished a four-year career with a 16-11 overall record and a 3.83 ERA in 62 appearances, which ranks fourth all-time in appearances.
  • Finished fourth all-time with 192 strikeouts –ranking first in program history with 77 punch outs looking—and tallied one complete game and three saves.
  • Went 3-2 overall in 2017 with a 4.33 ERA in seven starts and 18 total appearances as a senior.
  • Worked 54.0 frames, striking out 44 batters and allowed batters to hit .260 against him.
  • Improved to be even better during conference play, going 2-0 with a 2.55 ERA in 24.2 frames.
  • Picked up his first win going 6.0 innings allowing just two hits and one run versus Winthrop (Feb. 26).

2016:
  • One of three starters to make 13 starts on the mound, all coming over weekend play.
  • Led the Owls with an impressive 6-2 record --which led all starters in wins.
  • Totaled a 4.35 ERA and threw 72.1 innings, which ranked second among the staff.
  • Struck out 61 batters while issuing just 24 walks.
  • Went a perfect 4-0 in ASUN play, posting a 4.34 ERA in six starts.
  • Tossed 37.1 innings in league play.
  • Struck out 31 batters and walked just 13 in ASUN action.
  • Earned his first win of the season versus Purdue (Feb. 20).
  • Earned his second win tossing 7.0 innings and allowed no runs on just four hits versus Middle Tennessee (March 12).
  • Tossed 7.0 innings versus NJIT (April 9) to earn his fourth win of the season.
  • Tossed 8.0 innings and struck out eight versus Lipscomb (April 22).
2015:
  • Made 11 starts on the mound and 14 total appearances.
  • Compiled a 5-5 overall record with a 3.57 ERA.
  • Tossed 68.0 innings.
  • Struck out 46 batters and issued 26 walks.
  • Named A-Sun Pitcher of the Week for the first time in career.
  • Earned his first win of the season against St. John’s (Feb. 14).
  • Tossed 6.0 frames allowing just one run on six hits in a win against UCONN (March 1).
  • Worked 7.2 innings allowing three runs on just five hits against UAB (March 8).
  • Pitched an impressive 8.0 innings allowing one unearned run on three hits in the win over William & Mary (March 21).
  • Tossed 7.0 innings allowing two unearned runs on just six hits on the road at Lipscomb (April 26).
  • Pitched his first complete game on the road against North Florida (May 16), allowing one run on five hits to earn his fifth win of the season.
2014:
  • Worked himself into the weekend rotation during his freshman season, going 2-2 with a 3.19 ERA and 41 strikeouts, earning a spot on the All-Atlantic Sun Freshmen Team.
  • Tossed 73.1 innings while making 17 appearances and eight starts.
  • Walked just 15 batters while holding the opposition to a .264 batting average.
  • Had a career-high six strikeouts at Jacksonville State (3/2).
  • During NCAA Regional action vs. Alabama (6/1), gave up just two earned runs while striking out three.
HIGH SCHOOL:
  • Was named the Ace of the Staff during his senior season at Marietta High School while also garnering All-State and Cobb County Pitcher of the Year accolades.
  • Helped lead his team to the second round of the state tournament and was named All-Region Second Team.
  • Also earned Team MVP honors while on the junior varsity squad.
PERSONAL:
  • Son of Dennis and Maureen Friese and has two sisters, Sarah and Deanna.
  • Will major in computer science while at KSU.
