Olivia Taylor joins the Kennesaw State women’s soccer team as a graduate assistant coach in head coach Benji Walton’s staff.
A native of Leeds, England, Taylor came to the United State to play collegiate soccer at Thomas University in Thomasville, Ga in 2014.
The midfielder was a standout in midfield for the Night Hawks, bagging 19 goals and 22 assists in her 56 collegiate games. Taylor’s prowess on the pitch was noticed by the Sun Conference, who named her in its All-Conference First Team in both 2016 and 2017. Her outstanding 2017 season was noted by the NAIA, who named Taylor as an All-American Honorable Mention.
Taylor impressed in the classroom as well, with the Sun naming her in its All-Academic team three years in a row.
The Englishwoman first delved into coaching as a senior at Thomas, taking the helm of Brookwood Middle School’s girls soccer team.
After graduating from college, Taylor went to play semi-professional soccer in Sweden before playing the game at an amateur level for Harrogate Town Ladies in North Yorkshire, England.
In her free time, Taylor would coach one-on-one sessions to players from the Manchester City and Manchester United academies.
The Rome Gladiators, a team in the National Indoor Soccer League (NISL), signed Taylor for the first season in the league's history in Jan. 2022.
Taylor is currently pursuing her master’s degree in conflict management at Kennesaw State.
