2008-09 Season
Arana got off to a stellar start after joining the Owls over the winter break, posting a team-leading four top 20 finishes including two top tens … She finished the season as the team leader in win/loss percentage (.746) and scoring average (77.3) … Tied for the team-low 54-hole total after matching Ashley Aguilera’s 220 to finish seventh at the James Madison/Eagle Landing Invitational … Led the Owls in two of her first three events, never finishing lower than third in the team standings … Followed her top 10 at Eagle Landing with a tie for sixth at the Samford Intercollegiate a week later … Snuck into the top 20 at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship after tying for 18th at 232 … Finished in the top half of all six fields she competed against.

Prep Career

Arana joins the Owls for the 2009 spring season after successfully competing on the Spanish and European junior circuits where she finished the season with the top Catalunya Individual Regional Ranking three times ... She represented Spain in a number of international junior events, including matches against France and Northern England in 2005 ... Shot 78-76-77 to finish third at the 2005 U-16 Spanish National Championship ... Finished third in both 2004 and 2005 at the Spanish Inter-Regional Junior Team Tournament while representing Catalunya ... Finished fifth at the 2005 Northern England International Championship after shooting 78-77-75-77 ... Made it to the round of 32 at the 2005 British Girls Championship, standing 12th after firing 74-71 in the first two rounds ... Advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2006 Spanish International Lady Junior Amateur Championship where she was 14th after 36 holes (77-76)...Progressed to the round of 16 at the 2006 Italian International Junior Championship on the strength of a second round 74...Finished 5th at the U-14 Spanish National Championship in 2003.
