Ket Preamchuen begins her second season as a women's golf assistant coach at Kennesaw State.
In her first season as an assistant Preamchuen, She followed it up by guiding her 2015-16 team to a win at the Terrier Intercollegiate and seven Top 10 finishes, including five Top 5 showings. She helped freshman Medy Thavong earn ASUN Second Team All-Conference and a total of five Owls earned ASUN postseason honors. It was also another strong season in the classroom as all six ladies earned a spot on the ASUN Honor Roll for earning above a 3.0 grade point average for the year.
Preamchuen was a four-year standout for head coach Rhyll Brinsmead and the Owls from 2009 to 2013 and established herself as one of the top players in program history. A three-time first-team All-Atlantic Sun Conference and National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-America Scholar honoree, Preamchuen led the Owls in stroke average, top 20 finishes, top 10 finishes and even or under-par rounds during her first three seasons in Kennesaw.
For her career, the Chachoengsao, Thailand native totaled 20 top 20 finishes, 14 top 10 finishes and 22 even or under-par rounds and wrapped up her time as an Owl with a 75.73 career stroke average, good for fourth-best in KSU history.
She recorded 15 tournaments as KSU’s top scorer and her 120 career rounds holds the record for most rounds played in program history.
Preamchuen, who helped lead the Owls to the program’s first-ever Atlantic Sun Conference Championship and NCAA Regional appearance in 2012, has also played professionally on the Symetra Tour, the official developmental golf tour of the LPGA Tour, for the past two years.
