2005 Season Kate had a very successful freshman year with the Owls, posting three top 20 finishes...best showing of the season came at the Georgia State Invitational on October 15 when she placed 11th with a time of 23:26...crossed the line in 18:50 at the Atlantic Sun Championships to finish in 19th place...an excellent stuent, Kate was named to the A-Sun All-Academic Team. Prep Career Kate ran the Boston Marathon in a time of 3:02 and was a Top 50 Female Finisher and the first female from the state of Georgia...completed the Peachtree 10k Road Race in 39:25...was a member of the President[apos]s List during her freshman year at KSU...won her age group at the Atlanta Half Marathon...was the recipient of Kennesaw Mountain High School[apos]s Scholar Athlete of the Year Award. Personal Was born Kate Brun in Marietta, Georgia...is the daughter of Rick and Liz Brun...has one brother Chris (24)...Kate is majoring in Exercise and Health Science.
