2007 Season
In the 2007 season, Sutton once again proved to be a leader for the Owls as she won two races, was named A-Sun Runner of the Week twice and received All-Conference honors...she opened up the season with a first place finish in the 3k at the JSU Opener (10:53)...took home first place in the 5k at the Mercer-Atlanta Invitational (20:10.10)...finished in sixth place at the GSU Invitational (19:16.25)...then after returning from an injury, finished in 16th place at the Disney World Cross Country Classic (18:41.67)...at the A-Sun Conference Championship she completed the 5k course with a time of 18:56 for sixth place, earning her third consecutive All-Conference selection. 2006 Season
After being named the Atlantic Sun Conference Freshman of the Year in the previous season, Erin continued her success in 2006 by earning her second consecutive All A-Sun selection...she placed within the top ten of every race she took part in and had four top-five finishes...came in first at the Mercer Invitational with a time of 20:22.0 and finished in second place at the Gardner-Webb XC Duals with a season best time of 15:37.0 for the 4k meter race...Sutton finished fifth at the 2006 Crimson Classic with a time of 18:52.81 for the 5k event...placed fourth at the Furman Invitational with a time of 18:43 for the 5k. 2005 Season
Erin had a stellar freshman year with the Owls, as she was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Freshman of the Year...selected to the All-Conference Team...emerged as one of KSU[apos]s top runners, finishing fourth or better in four of the Owls[apos] six races...placed fourth with a season-best time of 17:57 at the A-Sun Championships...an excellent student, Erin was selected to the A-Sun All-Academic Team. Was the Paulding County Champion, Regional Runner-up and finished 12th in the GHSA State Championships with a time of 20:30.10...was named Most Valuable Runner at East Paulding HS...ran a 21:32 in the 2004 Clara Bowl on September 4, finishing 79th out of 449 runners. Personal
Was born Erin Nichole Sutton in Austell, Ga. ...is the daughter of Danny and Kathy Sutton...has one sibling Nathan (27)...Erin is majoring in Biology.
