Kyle Zimmerman

Kyle Zimmerman is currently in his eighth year at KSU. He spent the first seven as an Assistant Athletic Trainer before moving into the role of Director of Sports Medicine at Kennesaw State in the fall of 2023. He spent five seasons with the Track and Field / Cross Country program, and currently works with Women’s Basketball and Cheer.
 
Prior to KSU, Zimmerman worked a season as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Piedmont College. He worked with the baseball team for the Lions.
 
Prior to working at Piedmont, he spent 3 years at Gardner-Webb University from 2013-16 for the Runnin’ Bulldogs FCS football team as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.
 
Zimmerman received a Master of Education at Berry College, while also serving as a graduate assistant for those two years working with men’s basketball, women’s lacrosse and cheerleading. He earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Zimmerman is certified in Active Release Technique (ART), Graston Technique, and Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) therapy. He is also trained in Functional Movement Screening (FMS). Additionally, he is certified through the BOC while holding memberships as part of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and Georgia Athletic Trainer’s Association.

Zimmerman , a Michigan native, currently resides in Dallas, GA with his wife, Caillee, and three children.
