Sarah Coleman is back for her seventh season as assistant coach for Kennesaw State. After completing a successful four-year career as a player at Kennesaw State in 1999, Coleman joined the Lady Owls staff as a student assistant for the 1999-00, as Second Assistant from 2000 to 2004, and now, as First Assistant and Recruiting Coordinator. In the past seven years, Coleman has bwwn involved in almost every facet of the Lady Owls program. She has worked with recruiting, team travel, film exchange and game breakdown and strength and conditioning. Being a student-athlete and now a coach at KSU, Coach Coleman brings knowledge and committment to the KSU women's basketball program that has allowed her to become a key force in the Lady Owls' coaching staff. A stellar student, Coleman was a two-time member of the Peach Belt Conference Honor Roll. She received her bachelor's degree in Communications from Kennesaw State in 2000 and recently earned her Master's in Public Adminsitration in the spring of 2006. In addition to her role as Recruting Coordinator, Coleman works closely with the pst players. She also scouts opponents, oversees academic progress and serves as a liasion between the Lady Owls' Booster Club and the coaching staff. Coach Coleman is Camp Coordinator for the Lady Owls' Summer Basketball Camp Program. Coach Coleman has administered and been involved in many camps and clinics throughout the years. She has administered YMCA basketball summer camps and coaching clinics as well as worked at Sylvia Hatchell's UNC Basketball Team Camp in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She has also been a member of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for the last six years. Born March 31, 1977, Coleman grew up in Folkston, Georgia and graduated from Charlton County High School in 1995. She earned all-state honors in both basketball and softball in her time at CCHS. Coleman now makes her home in Atlanta and enjoys reading, playing golf and spending time in the North Georgia Mountains in her free time.
