Kennesaw State women's basketball coach Agnus Berenato announced on May 12, 2016 the addition of Carly Sprouse as the team's director of operations.
Sprouse joins The Nest from the WBCA where she was convention logistics and awards intern. In her role at KSU, Sprouse will handle the day-to-day operation of the program, including team travel, scheduling, equipment, budget, and community service initiatives.
Â
"Carly is a young, motivated and passionate person that fits the skill-set I'm looking for in this position," said Berenato. "She has worked with great mentors and leaders in our profession, most notably our WBCA CEO, Danielle Donehew, a former player of mine at Georgia Tech that had the highest praise for her abilities."
Â
Prior to her year at the WBCA, Sprouse was the director of women's basketball program development for one season at UNC Asheville. She earned her undergraduate degree in sports management from Western Carolina University in 2015. At WCU, she assisted the women's basketball program for four years as a manager and eventually the director of operations.
Â
"I could not be more excited to have the opportunity to work under a coach as passionate and inspiring as Coach Berenato," said Sprouse. "To be surrounded by such talented members of Kennesaw State's Athletic Association, I hope to contribute to the success of, not only the women's basketball program, but of the entire University."
