Biography

2006 Season: Appeared in and started all 55 games...started 51 at third base and four at shortstop...was one of the Owls top performers... was a First Team All-Atlantic Sun Conference selection...was the Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week (3/20) after going 8-for-12 with four doubles and eight runs batted in...led the Owls in multiple RBI games with 15...had the second-longest hitting streak on the team with a 12-game streak from March 26-April 15...hit .525, going 21-for-40 with 12 runs scored and 12 runs batted in...had seven extra-base hits during the streak, three homers, three doubles and one triple...enjoyed the best power numbers of her career, hitting 11 home runs...hit the first and last KSU home runs...began the year with a two-home run game against Georgia Southern and ended the season with a homer against Belmont (4/22)...twice homered in back-to-back games...the first time coming when she homered against Oakland and Furman in the Birmingham Southern Tournament (3/5)...did the feat again when she went yard in both games of a doubleheader at Florida Atlantic (4/1)...hit one of the Owls[apos] two grand slams against Furman (3/5)...went 4-for-4 with four runs batted in during a 16-5 win at Furman (3/15)...in the second game of a doubleheader versus Stetson (4/15) she went 3-for-3 with a double, home run and four runs batted in as the Owls run-ruled the Hatters 8-0...had a streak of four consecutive two-hit games against A-Sun rivals North Florida, Florida Atlantic and Campbell...drove in a season-high five runs against Oakland (3/5). 2005 Season: Was third on the team in hitting (.332), slugging percentage (.539), on base percentage (.434), RBI (47), total bases (104) and walks (33)...was a First Team All-South Atlantic Region selection...finished the season with 64 hits, 12 of which were doubles...batted an outstanding .417 against left-handed pitchers...had five triples last season which led the Owls and was second in the Peach Belt Conference...was fourth on the team with six home runs...was the only Kennesaw State player to hit multiple doubles, triples and home runs while also stealing multiple bases...was a perfect 3-for-3 in the stolen base category...finished seventh in the PBC with 47 RBI...finished ninth in the PBC in total bases (104)...batted .364 with two outs and .372 with runners on base...batted .462 with bases loaded...had 25 two-out RBI...was brilliant on opening day as she went 5-for-7 with three runs batted in and one run scored in a doubleheader sweep of Belmont Abbey on February 6...was 3-for-3, including her first home run of the year, with two runs scored and two RBI in the first game of a doubleheader as the Owls secured a 7-0 win against North Florida on February 19...went 3-for-4, with a home run, a run scored and four runs batted in during a 9-8 loss to Alabama-Huntsville on February 23...on February 25, finished 2-for-2 with two runs scored and two RBI in an 11-0 shutout of Southern Indiana...went 3-for-4, including her third home run of the season, with a run scored and two RBI in a 10-3 victory over Wayne State on February 27...hit the first grand slam of her career in a 9-0 win over Hawaii Pacific on March 10...snapped a 1-for-20 slump with a 2-for-3 game against Catawba on March 19...enjoyed a 3-for-5 doubleheader against USC Aiken in which she scored four runs in KSU[apos]s sweep of the Pacers...went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI in a 7-3 win against Lander in the second game of a doubleheader on April 9...on April 12, ended the regular season with a double and a triple in the Owls[apos] doubleheader sweep of West Georgia...went 2-for-2 with a grand slam and four runs batted in against USC Upstate on April 15 in the first game of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament...had a monster tournament, hitting .529 (9-for-17) with two home runs, seven runs batted in and three runs scored...her hot hitting continued into the South Atlantic Regionals, as she batted .412 (7-for-17) with seven runs batted in...hit safely in five of the six games with a pair of multi-hit games...had a hit in four of the six games in the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament in Salem, Virginia, where she also drove in three runs. 2004 Season: Won shortstop position in the fall and started in all 70 games...batted .319 for the year hitting behind Keri McKee in the fifth spot in the batting order...kept her batting average over .300 from February 28 through the remainder of the season...scored 45 runs while driving in 49 RBI...finished with a .927 fielding position, leading the team in assists...got her first collegiate hit in her third game against Anderson College on February 8...went 3-for-4 in the game with a double and a run batted in...had a phenomenal stretch of seven games from March 8-13 in which she drove in at least one run...during that seven-game stretch she was 11-for-21 with 3 home runs and 18 runs batted in...hit two homers in win over Francis Marion on March 10...drove in a career high six runs against Slippery Rock on March 12...at one point in the season, hit safely in 19-of-20 games, putting together a career-high 10-game hitting streak from March 8-17...was 14-for-29 during the streak with 18 RBI and seven runs scored...had back-to-back multi-hit games four times in 2004...finished the season with 22 extra-base hits with 15 doubles and six homers, had her lone triple of the season on April 13 against West Georgia...pushed batting average to a season-high .390 after going 1-for-1 in win over Anderson College on March 17...had multiple hits in 19 games, including 3-for-5 game against North Greenville on April 9 and 3-for-3 day against USC-Aiken in the first game of the Peach Belt Conference tournament...was third on the team in conference hitting with a .350 average...led the Owls in conference RBI (20) and slugging percentage (.633)...went 1-for-2 in the Owls NCAA Division II Championship opener against Florida Southern on May 13. Prep Career: Came to Kennesaw State after a stellar four-year career at Woodstock High School...was a Second Team All-State selection in senior year...earned Honorable Mention All-State honors in her junior season...she is a four-time All County selection...was the Atlanta Journal Constitution[apos]s Offensive Player of the Year in 2003...she was named the Woodstock HS Most Valuable Player in her freshman, junior and senior years...recipient of the Bobbie Bailey Award in 2002.
