2006 Season: Was redshirted and did not play during the 2006 campaign.
2005 Season: Finished the season with a 1.52 ERA in 37 appearances...she had a record of 17-5 with 94 strikeouts in more than 156 innings pitched...she threw 14 complete games in 24 starts...she had five shutouts and three more combined shutouts...she gave up 145 hits and only 34 walks on the year...hitters hit only .240 against her had a team-high three saves was selected as the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week of February 22, 2005...Kearns went 3-0 for the Owls, allowing only 14 hits and one earned run in 21.2 innings of work for a 0.32 ERA...she picked up wins against Anderson, #7 Alabama-Huntsville and a conference win over Augusta State, holding the Jags to only four hits...for the week she struck out 14 batters on the week and issued only four walks...she pitched 1.2 innings of hitless relief against North Florida to end the incredible week...the first game of the year she threw a complete game no hitter against Belmont Abbey on February 6, 2005...she recorded six strike outs and missed a perfect game by hitting one batter...recorded her first of three saves the same day by throwing two perfect innings in a 1-0 win to sweep Belmont Abbey...allowed only two hits and no runs against Tusculum in a 11-0 Owls victory...she threw a complete game four-hitter against Wayne State on February 25, 2005...tossed a complete game four-hitter in a 8-1 win over Anderson on March 1, 2005...she got the win in relief in a 4-2 game in Hawaii over Hawaii Pacific on March 10, 2005...recorded six strikeouts in a complete game seven-hitter against Anderson on March 17, 2005...improved her record to 8-1 on March 19, 2005 in a 2-1 win over Alabama-Huntsville, she gave up only five hits in seven innings pitched and struck out three...threw six innings with six strike outs and only four hits in a 7-1 win over Augusta State on March 20, 2005...she threw another complete game shutout when the Owls defeated USC Upstate 2-0 on March 24, 2005 in Spartanburg, South Carolina...allowed only three hits in five innings pitched in a 9-1 win over No.-10 Francis Marion on March 26, 2005...she gave up only four hits in a complete game with four strike outs in a 3-1 win over UNC Pembroke on April 2, 2005...recorded a win in relief of Brittany Matthews by throwing two innings of three-hit ball with two strikeouts in a 5-4 win over USC Aiken on April 3, 2005... improved her record to 14-2 with a complete game five-hitter on April 5, 2005 with a 3-0 win over Armstrong Atlantic...recorded her second and third saves in relief of Lisa Lamb and Brittany Matthews, by throwing a perfect seventh inning on April 12, 2005 in the first game of the double header and going the final three innings allowing only three hits and no runs in the final games of the regular season with a 4-2 and 9-2 Owls victories going in to the Peach Belt Tournament...on April 16, 2005 she threw two perfect innings with two strikeouts in relief in the PBC Tournament...threw a complete game seven-hitter, allowing only two runs in the semi-finals of the PBC Tournament...she threw a complete game five-hitter, allowing only one run in the South Atlantic Regional Tournament in a 3-1 win over Carson Newman College on May 13, 2005Öshe earned her 17th win of the year with a 8-6 win over USC Upstate in the South Atlantic Regional on May 15, 2005.
2004 Season: Was an All-South Atlantic Region selection...All-Peach Belt Conference selection...PBC Pitcher of the Week for the week of February 17...after just two seasons she is already in the top 10 in 10 career pitching categories...is the all-time career leader in saves with nine...tied for the team lead in both wins (22) and complete games (19)...led the Owls in appearances (35) and relief appearances (13)...tossed her second career no-hitter on March 13 when she blanked Belmont-Abbey 8-0 in an eight-strikeout gem...her earned run average was never above 1.00 for the season...dipped to a season-low 0.26 after raising her record to 9-0 with a 6-0, three-hit performance against UNC Pembroke on March 8...had a scoreless streak of 30.2 innings from February 20-March 10...won her first 19 decisions of the year before a 4-1 loss to Armstrong Atlantic on March 30...went the distance in all but three of her 22 starts...tossed back-to-back two-hitters.
2003 Season: Named to the Peach Belt Conference All-Tournament team...moved quickly into the Owls rotation as a freshman after throwing a six-inning perfect game in her first collegiate game against Tennessee Wesleyan...finished the game with five strikeouts...was ninth in the nation in saves with four...led the Owls in wins with 16 while compiling an impressive 16-6 mark for the season...topped the staff in appearances (29), complete games (12), shutouts (6), saves (4), innings pitched (132.0) and fewest walks allowed (15)...she was Kennesaw State[apos]s primary pitcher out of the bullpen...she relieved in a team-high 13 games in 2003...she also led the Owls staff with a 5.3 strikeout-to-walk ratio...pitched a two-hit game against Lenoir-Rhyne on March 22...in the contest she allowed just three base runners while striking out five batters in a seven inning complete game win...began her college career on a tear, allowing just two earned runs while throwing a pair of shutouts in her first six collegiate games...over the course of that streak she allowed a paltry 16 hits in 27.1 innings of work.
Prep Career: Had a very successful prep career at Marietta[apos]s Sprayberry High School where she was an All-State selection.
Personal: Was born Janet Kearns in Marietta, Georgia...is the daughter of Dianne Kearns...has an older brother Brian (25)...is a Human Resource Management major.
