In his 16th season with the Owls, Marty Rafter returns as Kennesaw State’s Director of Softball Operations.
Rafter, one of the top recruiters in the region, has been one of the cornerstones for the Owls’ far-reaching recruiting base.
In addition to spotting great local talent, Rafter’s duties also include working as the statistician for head coach Scott Whitlock. Breaking down numbers and charting both stats and situational analysis is suited for Rafter’s no-nonsense approach to the game.
Rafter is no stranger to the world of fastpitch softball. He has been involved with fastpitch on the state, regional and national level for 35 years, and he also brings a wealth of talent and knowledge of the game to the KSU program.
Enjoying retirement, when he is not in the Owls’ dugout, Rafter enjoys playing golf and traveling. He is the father of three daughters including former Kennesaw State great, Kelly Rafter.
