Biography

2006 Season: Appeared in 48 games and started in 40...played 33 games in left field and seven in right field...was one of two players to have multiple triples (2), home runs (2) and stolen bases (2)...had her most productive game of the season against Furman (3/9) when she just missed hitting for the cycle, going 3-for-4 hitting a single, triple and home run with four runs batted in a scoring four runs in a 19-3 win...also had two hits against Furman (3/15) in a 16-5 win...had two hits and drove in three of the Owls four runs in a 4-3 win over North Florida (4/29) in the season finale...had two hits against Gardner-Webb (4/8) and against Tennessee Tech (4/12)...in the game against Tech she hit her second home run of the season and scored two runs...enjoyed a season-best five-game hitting streak from March 5-11...hit .538, going 7-for-13 during the streak. 2005 Season: Played in 31 games last season and hit a respectable .273 in 11 at-bats...scored ten runs...had three hits on the year with two of them being doubles...finished the season with two runs batted in...for the year her slugging percentage was .455 and her on-base percentage was .273...started the season strong, in the first game of the year, she was a perfect 1-for-1 with a double and a run batted in during a 14-0 win at Belmont Abbey...scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning in a 4-3 win over Columbus State in the South Atlantic Regionals at Owl Field...scored a run in the 8-3 win over BYU-Hawaii on March 7...scored one of eight runs in the shutout over Anderson on March 19...scored another of eight runs in the shutout over Anderson on March 19...while in Hawaii, April was 1-for-2 with a run batted in at Paololo Park in a 8-0 win over Chaminade on March 5...scored a run in the 8-3 win over BYU-Hawaii on March 7...appeared in six postseason games, two in the NCAA Division II South Atlantic Regionals...also appeared as a pinch-runner in four of the six national tournament games. 2004 Season: Was used mostly as a pinch runner and a defensive replacement at second base...she made her collegiate debut on February 8 against Anderson...made her only start of the season on March 7 against St. Andrews in which she recorded a season-high three assists as well as registering three putouts while playing second base...got her first collegiate hit on March 10 against Francis Marion when she singled off Lady Patriots ace Jessica Johnson in the fifth inning of the Owls 8-0 win...picked up her first career extra-base hit when she doubled in her only at-bat in the Owls 6-1 win over Catawba on March 21...scored a run in four straight games from March 21-25...scored the game-winning run in the Owls dramatic 2-1 win over Armstrong Atlantic in the 2004 NCAA Division II South Atlantic Regionals. Prep Career: Came to Kennesaw State after a successful four-year career at North Cobb High School...she was an Honorable Mention All-State selection in 2000...was a four-time All-Cobb County selection (1999-2002)...was the Cobb Country Rookie of the Year in 1999...selected Most Athletic at North Cobb in 2003...recipient of the 2003 Bobbie Bailey Award honoring the top athletes in Cobb County...led Cobb County in batting in 1999...led North Cobb in stolen bases in each of her four seasons...also received the Best Defensive Player Award at North Cobb in 2000.
