While in high school, Holmes was a three time Candadian Cross Country Championship Team silver medalist with the Ottawa Lions Track and Field Club ...placed fifth at the OFSAA Track and Field Championships in Steeple Chase ...finished with a time of 8:49 in the 3000m and 6:09 in the 2000m Steeple Chase.
