During his junior season at Shorter, Nigel broke the Shorter school record in the 60 meter dash with the time of 6.77... Placed sixth in the 60 meter dash at NAIA Indoor National Championship... Placed third in the 100 meter dash at the NAIA Outdoor National Championship... Ran the third leg on Shorter's school record and NAIA National Championship 4x100m relay team with the time of 39.75... 2012 NAIA Indoor All American 60m dash... 2012 NAIA Outdoor All American 100m dash and 4x100m relay... 2012 NAIA Outdoor Champion 4x100m relay team. Nigel is a five-time NAIA All American.

2011 
While at Shorter for his sophomore year, Nigel ran third leg on the 4th place 4x400m relay team at the NAIA Indoor National Championship Nigel also ran third leg on the runner up finish 4x100m
relay team... Placed 8th in the 100m dash at the NAIA Outdoor National Championship... Was a member of the Shorter NAIA National Indoor and Outdoor National Championship Team... 2011 NAIA Indoor All American 4x400m relay team and 2011 NAIA Outdoor All American 4x100m relay team.

Prior to KSU
Six-time Lettermen at Peach County high school, with two in track and field, and four in football... Football state champion in 2005 and 2006... At Peach County High School, Nigel was Region 1-AAA runner up in the100 meter dash... He placed 7th in the 100m dash at the 2009 Georgia High School State Championship... 2009-2010 season Nigel broke Iowa Wesleyan College 23 year old 100 meter dash record previously held by Robert Day in 1987 at Iowa Wesleyan college where he competed as
freshmen before transferring to Shorter College... Nigel competed in the NAIA Indoor and Outdoor Nationals as a freshman... Nigel competed in the 2010 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 100 meter dash.

Nigel Talton was born to Tisa and Al Horton in Fort Valley, Georgia... He has one sister named Alisa.Favorite food is okra and favorite fast food is McDonald's... Enjoys watching movies and spending time with his sister... Sport Management Major and Coaching Minor... Plans to attended
grad school to further his education... Would love to run in the Olympics one day.
