2011-2012
Hamid was selected as an All Atlantic Sun Conference second team member for the 10000M and the 5000M and set his college best times of 4:00.02 in the 1500M and 8:29.84 in the 3000M during the outdoor season…He was selected as an All Atlantic Sun Conference second team member for the 5000M and third team member for the 3000M during the indoor season…He had 6 total top-5 finishes in 2012.
Hamid competed in eight Cross Country events for the Owls in 2011, recording his best season in the Black and Gold… He advanced to the NCAA National Championship in Terre Haute, Ind., where he finished 87th with a time of 30:41.80… Named an All Atlantic Sun Conference First Team selection for his second place finish at the A-Sun Championship… Recognized by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as a NCAA South All Regional performer for his sixth place finish at the NCAA South Regional Championship with a 10K pace of 31:10.01… Won the 8K Georgia State Invitational at the Nash Farm Battlefield Track in a time of 25.39.02… Finished the season with five top-10 performances.

2010-2011
Hamid collected First Team All Atlantic Sun Honors last season after claiming the 10,000-meter title at the A-Sun Championship with a time of 31:10.54… Nabil also won titles at the Georgia Tech 3-Way in the 3000m with a time of 8:31.37 and the Auburn War Eagle Invitational in the 5000m with a time of 14:50.03… Nabil ranks second in multiple KSU records including the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:41.00 and the 3000m.

2009-2010
Competed in four meets during the indoor season…  Finished 13th in the 5,000m event at the ETSU Niswonger Invitational in a time of 15:20.85… Placed third at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational with a time of 8:46.38 in the 3,000m… Ran his best 3,000m time of the season at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship, 8:38.54 which was good enough for sixth… Finished seventh in the 5,000m event at the A-Sun Championships in 15:10.79... Started his outdoor season at the JSU Gem of the Hills Invitational, competing in 4x400, 800 and 1,500m, finishing in seventh, 17th and third, respectively…  Earned his best 10,000m time of the season, 30:41.73 on his way to finishing eighth at the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn.…  Finished  first in the 5,000m at the Auburn War Eagle Invitational with a time of 14:50.03… Continued his success at the Georgia Tech 3-way with another first place finish this time in the 3,000m with a time of 8:31.37… Closed out the season at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship, competing in the 5,000 and 10,000 competitions, where he would finish with his best 5,000m time of the season good enough for second (14:48.90) and a second place 10,000m finish in 31:02.17.

Prep Career
Won the 1600 and 3200 meter events at the DeKalb County Championships in 2009…placed sixth and fifth in the 2009 Georgia Olympics in the same events…Has been timed at 4:27 for one mile. 

Personal
Originally from Ethiopia…Son of Ibrahim Hamid and Zahra Hussien…Has five brothers and two sisters…enjoys playing soccer in his spare time…is currently undecided on a major…Chose Kennesaw State because of the quality of education he will receive and getting the chance to run for Coach Sims and Coach McGarey.
