2009-2010 Season
Indoor: Finished ninth in the 4x4 relay at the ETSU Niswonger Invitational... Followed that up with a fourth place finish in the 4x4 at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational... Finished first in the 4x4 relay and 17th in the 400 meters at the Gene Anderson UNC Invitational... Nabbed a season-best time in the 4x4 (3:15.67) good enough for first place and an All-Conference award at the Atlantic Sun Indoor Championships.
Outdoor: Started the outdoor season with a third, fifth and sixth place finish in the 4x4,4x1 and 4x2, respectively at the CCU Invitational... Finished first in the 4x1 relay and seventh in the 200 meters at the Beynon Sports Catamount Classic... Placed third in the 4x1 and fifth in the 4x4 at the Auburn War Eagle Invitational... Got another first place finish in the 4x1 in 40.68 at the Georgia Tech 3-Way... Achieved an All-Conference Selection for a second place finish in the 4x1 relay at the A-Sun Outdoor Conference Championship.
2008-2009 Season
Posted two top-10 finishes in his first A-Sun Indoor Championship, placing fifth in the 60 Meters (7.19 seconds) and ninth in the 400 Meters (51.29 seconds)...Was an All-Atlantic Sun Conference selection during outdoor season for his second place performance in the 100 Meters (10.66 seconds), also finishing fifth in the 200 Meters (21.97 seconds).
Prep Career
While in attendance at Greenbriar high school, Martinez was named the AAU Athlete of the Year for the track team ...was named captain on the track team during his senior season ...was named in the top 16 in Georgia’s AAAA classification in the 100m
