2009-2010 Season
Started his season at the ETSU Niswonger Invitational, finishing sixth overall in the 800m in 1:57.02… Beat his previous time in the 800m by over a minute at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational which was good enough for third also finished sixth in the 4x400 relay with teammates Piotr Witczak, Daniel Grass and Michael Guntner… Helped the men’s team win an Atlantic Sun Conference Indoor championship with his first place finish in the 800m, breaking his season record by over two minutes coming in at 1:53.43... Had outdoor success with a first place victory at the Beynon Sports Catamount Classic in the 800m, running in a time of 1:52.80… Ran his best 800m time of the season at the A-Sun Indoor Conference Championships, good enough for second place in 1:50.69.

2008-2009 Season
Won the 800 Meter Dash in both the A-Sun Indoor and Outdoor Championships, with times of 1:53.60 and 1:52.18, respectively... Set school indoor records in the 800 Meter Dash on a 200 Meter Track and on a track larger than 200 Meters, with times of 1:54.18 and 1:52.32 at the Clemson Indoor Invitational and the Niswonger Inivitational, respectively...Also set the school outdoor record in the 800 Meters at the LSU Alumni Gold, finishing fourth with a time of 1:51.41... Also competed in the 1500 Meter Run, with his best finish being fifth with a time of 3:58.41, also at the LSU Alumni Gold...Earned A-Sun Runner of the Week honors three times, twice during indoor season and once during outdoor.

2007-2008 Season
Set a new KSU outdoor 800m dash record and personal best time at LSU, placing second with a time of 1:51.81... was named Atlantic Sun Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week on May 14... placed first in the 800m dash at the Outdoor Conference Championships with a time of 1:52.90.

Prep Career
In 2007, Catalano placed second for the 800m at the Ohio State Championships with a time of 1:53.86.

Personal
Was born Gianni Paolo Catalano in Amherst, Ohio...is the son of Bruno and Carol Catalano...he has two older brothers Bruno (22) and Peter (21)...also played basketball and football during high school.
