2010-2011 Season
Tansey claimed an Atlantic Sun Conference Indoor title in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:19.15… David also won a couple of titles in 2011 at the FSU Twilight and the Georgia Intercollegiate Invitational in the 4x400 meter relay… Tansey also competed for the Owls in the 60m dash, 200m, 300m and 400m.
2009-2010 Season
Finished first in the 4x4 relay at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational with a time of 3:21.17 and sixth in the 400 in 50.53 seconds... Nabbed two indoor All-Conference honors in the 4x4 and 4000 distance medley relay at the Atlantic Sun Indoor Conference Championships... Had a lot of success in the 4x4 during the outdoor season... Finished first in the 4x4 at the Beynon Catamount Classic in 3:17.60... Got the fastest time of the season in the 4x4 at the Georgia Tech 3 Way with a time of 3:13.79... Added two more All-Conference awards to his name in the 4x4 and 400 at the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Conference Championships with a first (4x4) and second place (400) finish, respectively.
2008-2009 Season
Was the third leg of the winning Distance Medley Relay team at the UNC Invitational...Finished 10th int he 400 Meter Dash at the Clemson Indoor Invitational with a time of 50.67 seconds...Posted a sixth place finish in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 50.13 seconds and an eighth place finish in the 200 Meter Dash at the A-Sun Indoor Championships, with a time of 22.67 seconds...Posted a fourth place finish in the 400 Meter Dash at the A-Sun Outdoor Championships with a time of 48.97 seconds.. Best finish of outdoor season was a third place showing at the Clemson Invitational (49.43 seconds).
Prep Career
While in high school, Tansey set a personal record of 49.5s in the 400m dash, and 6ft. in the high jump... he was awarded the Athletic Leadership award for track and field.

Son of Lorene and Phil Tansey... has two siblings, Ryan and Alex... His major is undecided.
