2009 Season
Had a promising start to his collegiate track and field career, as he was part of the winning Distance Medley Relay team at the Clemson Invitational, as the foursome completed the race in 10:21.73 on their way to victory...Also competed in the 800 Meters that weekend, taking fifth place in 2:00.53...Bettered that mark in the 800 Meters when he finished third in the A-Sun Indoor Championships with a time of 1:54.86 to earn All A-Sun honors...Continued his success in the 800 Meters once outdoor season started, running 1:54.00 at the UNF Invitational finish second...Closed out his rookie campaign with a second place finish in the 800 Meters in the A-Sun Outdoor Championships to once again earn all-conference recognition.
Prep Career
While in high school, Grass placed third in the 1600m and fifth in the 800m at State in 2007, and third in the 800m in 2008 ...served as both the Cross Country and Track and Field Captain ...was named MVP ...Most Valuable Freshman ...recorded 800m school record.

Born Daniel Lewis Grass in Fallbrook, California ...son of Stephen and Terry Grass ...five siblings, Rachael (20), Laura (21), Seth (28), Adrienne (30), and Jonathan (30) ...majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Finance.
