2009-2010 Season
Finished seventh in the pole vault at his first meet with the Owls, the Appalachian Indoor Track Invitational... Reached his top pole vault height of 4.75 meters at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational, good enough for second place... Nabbed his first All-Conference award in the pole vault at the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Conference Championship with a top height cleared of 4.67 meters for first place.
Prior to Kennesaw State
Adam comes to Kennesaw State after a successful two-year stint at Gardner Webb University, in Boiling Springs, N.C…Won the 2009 Big South Outdoor Championship, clearing 14’11”…Placed Second in the 2009 Big South Indoor Championships, with a jump of 15’1.75”… Finished in a tie for third place in the Pole Vault in the 2008 Atlantic Sun Outdoor Championships, clearing 14’3.25”… Placed sixth in the Atlantic Sun Indoor Championships in 2008 with a jump of 14’1.25”…Qualified for the 2009 NCAA East Region Championship in the Pole Vault…Was a teammate of current Kennesaw State assistant coach Jerel Langley.
Prep Career
Competed in the Pole Vault and Javelin at Oconee County High School in Watkinsville, Ga… Won the Georgia Class 3A Championship in the Pole Vault as a senior in 2007 with a jump of 14’0’’, a full foot higher than the second place finisher…Named a Georgia First-Team All-State selection in Pole Vault on two occasions… Also earned four varsity letters in football.
Personal: Was born Adam Joshua Reed to Joel and Angela Reed in Athens, Ga…Has one brother, Randy (24)…Enjoys golf, hunting, and playing cards in his spare time…Is majoring in Health and Exercise Science, and plans to be a health administrator after graduation.
