2008-09 Season
Higgins saw limited playing action during his freshman season, posting a 2-1 singles record… after being defeated in his first match, he rebounded to record his first win against Bertard Ngomsi of Alabama A & M on February 13, 2009, while also teaming up with Michael Brazil to earn a victory in doubles competition on that date as well…his second victory of the season would come a week later when he defeated Alabama State’s Quintero Moore on February 20.
Prep Career
Higgins joins the Owls after a highly successful career at Peachtree Ridge High School ... Played on the varsity team all four years at PRHS, helping lead his team the deepest into the state championship tournament that they have gone in school history in his senior season ... Was a two-time "Super Six" player for Gwinnett County, losing only one match to a player from Gwinnett in his entire high school career ... Was selected to the All-County team after his senior season.
