Miranda Foley

KENNESAW, Ga. – Miranda Foley, who joined the Kennesaw State women's tennis program in the spring of 2013 as assistant coach, was elevated to assistant head coach in July of 2015.
 
"Miranda's experience at the highest levels of collegiate tennis as a student-athlete at the University of Houston and Florida State are invaluable to our team," Rincon said. "She also has experience working at the junior college, Division I and Division III levels.
 
"There is no doubt in my mind that she knows what it takes to be successful," Rincon added. "I believe that with Miranda's commitment to stay at Kennesaw State, we have made a tremendous step forward. I'm thrilled to be working alongside Coach Foley."
 
Since joining the Owls, Foley has mentored three-time Atlantic Sun Conference first team all-conference selection Virginie Stein and Alexandra Apostu, who was twice named first team all-conference. Additionally, Stein was a three-time A-Sun All-Academic pick and was named the conference's 2015 Scholar Athlete of the Year. She is also a two-time ITA All-America Scholar.
 
"First I would like to thank Coach Rincon, Athletics Director Vaughn Williams and the all administrative staff involved in presenting me with the opportunity to continue my coaching endeavor here at KSU," Foley said. "I have seen what Eduardo has done for the men's team over the past few years and am beyond excited to be in a position where we are now going to be working together.
 
"Exciting times are ahead for the women's tennis program and I am eager to get the girls back on campus and get started," Foley added.
 
Prior to coming to Kennesaw State, Foley served as an assistant coach at Georgia Perimeter College after working as the tennis professional at Midtown Athletic Club in Atlanta, Ga.and serving as a volunteer assistant coach at Agnes Scott College, a Division III program in Decatur, Ga.

Foley began her collegiate career at the University of Houston where she played for two years before transferring to Florida State for her junior and senior seasons. She earned a degree in athletic training from FSU before completing work on a master's degree in education with a specialization in biomechanics from Auburn.

Foley, who is certified by the United States Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR), is pursuing a master's degree in business administration at Kennesaw State.
