2010-2011
Karlsson competed in all 12 events for the Owls during the 2010-11 campaign leading the team with a 70.6 stroke average...Finished second amongst all NCAA DI competitors for lowest stroke average behind UCLA's All-American Patrick Cantlay...Karlsson collected three titles including an Atlantic Sun Championship title... He was honored as a PING DI Second Team Honoree, All-Atlantic Sun Honoree, All A-Sun Tournament team and a participant for team Europe for the 15th Annual Palmer Cup... HIs lowest round came at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate when he set the school record, posting a 65 in both the opening and closing rounds...He collected 9 top-10 finishes on the season and finished ranked 27th in the Golfweek/Sargin Rankings.

2009-2010

Karlsson competed in 11 events during his sophomore season, winning an event and finishing runner-up in another while posting a total of six top-10 performances…Set a program record with a scoring average of 72.8…Was the Owls leading scorer on five occasions…He recorded the first win of his collegiate career in the Owls’ fall debut at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate in Hattiesburg, Miss., on 9/14-15, firing rounds of 71-67-65 to finish at 10-under par 203, setting new Kennesaw State 54-hole and 36-hole records in the process, while his 65 tied for the school’s lowest 18-hole score of all-time…His runner-up performance came at the Samford Intercollegiate on 3/8-9, where he shot a 54-hole score of 211 to beat all but one player and help the Owls to a tie for third place performance in the 14-team field…Received an at-large bid to the NCAA Southeast Regional in Alpharetta, Ga., as an individual, where he finished in a tie for eighth with an even-par, 75-68-67 performance to finish as the low individual in the event and end just one stroke shy of a playoff to get into nationals.

2008-09
Karlsson tied for the team lead in event appearances with eleven during his freshman season, with his best score coming at the Palmer's Toyota Fall Intercollegiate on Sept. 15-16, finishing up at 2-over par 218 in a tie for 22nd... his highest finish in the standings came at the Colombia Invitational on Oct. 24-25 when he shot a 9-over par 222 for a third place finish.

Prep Career

Though he didn't pick up playing golf until his freshman year of high school, the Swedish-born Karlsson comes to KSU with many accolades under his belt ... Won a Junior Masters Invitational event, and came in second in another, earning himself an invitation to play in the Swedish Junior Circuit's end of the year event which is reserved for Master's event champions ... Won the top division in Sweden's junior club circuit by 28 strokes to earn a spot in the Swedish Club National Championships ... Won the Norberg Junior Open last season, outlasting some Sweden's top junior players ... Won a total of three national junior tournament titles and posted 13 top 10's in his short four-year golf career ... Qualified to play on the Swedish Elite Junior Tour and the Swedish Professional Tour during the past two seasons.
