Had a successful third season with the team as he competed in all seven races...had his best finish of the season at the JSU Opener as he took 11th place in the 5k with a time of 15:31.9...posted his season best time at the Mercer Atlanta Invitational (22:03.23) where he finished in 13th place...at the GSU Invitational finished in 25th with a time of 28:08.11...completed the 8k at the Tiger Invitational in 26:11.15...ran 27:38.23 at the Disney World Cross Country Classic...completed the JSU Foothills race in 28:17...finished the 8k at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship in 48th place with a time of 28:14. 2006 Season
Finished seventh at the 2006 Mercer Invitational with a time of 22:01...posted a time of 29:27.09 for the men[apos]s 8k at the 2006 Crimson Classic...finished 18th at the Gardner-Webb XC Duels with a time of 20:46.0 for the 6k run...posted a time of 29:31 for the 8k at the Furman Invitational.
2005 Season
Competed in five meets during his freshman season with the Owls...posted his best time of the season with a mark of 27:59 to finish 45th at the Atlantic Sun Championships...secured a time of 28:22 at the Georgia State Invitational. Prep Career
Matthew came to KSU after running at Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, Ga. ...was the Patriot[apos]s Top Cross-Country runner in his final three seasons...finished 16th in the Region 4AAAA Cross-Country Meet on October 23 with a time of 17:43.27...ran a 17:35 in the LaGrange Invitational on September 29, the second best time for the Patriots.
