Posted a career-best heptathlon total of 4,377 points to finish ninth at the Mountain West Conference Championships...that total is the 10th-best total in Academy history...won the 1000-meter event (2:44.30) in the conference heptathlon...was a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that won the Potts Invitational in 3:48.96...was also the runner-up in the 400-meter dash (54.27) at that meet...scored 4,335 points in heptathlon debut at the New Mexico Classic...was the runner-up in the 600-yard run at the Robert Shine Invitational with a time of 1:17.73...scored 5,756 points in decathlon debut at the Mt. SAC/California Invitational Combined Events Meet...won the 1500-meter event (4:34.58) at that meet.

Four-time varsity letter winner in Cross Country and Track & Field at Chapel Hill High School... Won back-to-back state championships in the 800-meter race in 2008 and 2009...Was a member of the 2007 and 2008 Track & Field state championship teams and Cross Country championship team member in 2008... At the end of his high school career he held five school records... Named finalist in Wendy’s Heisman state competition in 2009... Part of the Quicksilver track club and competed in the Junior Olympics in the summer of 2012
