Kennesaw State University named Charlie Asciutto as its spirit squad head coach on August 1, 2014.
In just over nine seasons, Asciutto has achieved significant growth on and off the competition floor. During his tenure, the Owls have won seven National Cheer Association (NCA) Collegiate National Championships along with four second-place finishes. The most recent national title came in 2023 when the Owls co-ed team claimed their second consecutive national championship, claiming victory with a score of 97.3079 points.
In addition to coaching at Kennesaw State, Asciutto is in his eleventh year serving as an all-star team coach at Stingray All-Stars where he has helped coach, two World Championship titles, two Majors Championship titles, three Summit Championships, and numerous NCA and Cheersport National Championships. Asciutto has also helped coach nine Georgia High School Athletic Association State Championship routines.
Before becoming a coach, Asciutto cheered for Team USA in the International Cheer Union World Championships; ultimately winning Gold.
Asciutto earned his bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies of social science at Florida Atlantic University and was a four-year member of the FAU competitive cheer team from 2009 to 2013.
