One of two Owls to appear in all 18 games for the Owls … ended the season with a .309 batting average ... tied for fourth in the ASUN with 21 hits ... had five multi-hit games, including three games with three hits ... scored the second-most runs on the team with 16, ranking fourth in the conference ... tied for the team-high in doubles with five … hit one home run against Brown (3/7) ... tallied a season-high three RBIs against Coastal Carolina (2/23) ... finished with a .970 fielding percentage, recording 90 putouts and eight assists.

Made an immediate impact in his first season with KSU, anchoring the middle of the lineup… Russell displayed an immense amount of power in ASUN play, mashing 10 home runs against conference opponents… Ended the season leading the conference with 12 homers and paced the field in slugging percentage (.609) and total bases in ASUN play with 66... he was memorizing at the plate in league play, knocking in 25 runs while collecting 30 hits, which ranked second and sixth, respectfully… launched a pair of home runs against Jacksonville on May 17… boasted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage… ended the season batting .308… finished his first season as an Owl slugging .609.

Competed for Kell High School… won Disney World Classic in 2009… played three years of varsity baseball for Kell… finished with the highest batting average at Kell… garnered MVP award in high school… played summer baseball in the Sunbelt League... member of the 2015 Braves 400 club greater Atlanta All Star Team awarded to top High School players.batted .302 as a freshman at Florida Southwestern and hit the first college pitch he saw for a home run... the first home run in school program history... at ABAC he batted .367 with 6 home runs as a sophomore and garnered GCAA first team all conference and gold glove awards.
