2013
McCalvin was one of the most dependable pitchers for KSU during the 2013 season, earning an ERA of just 1.80 with a 1-1 record and three saves... Made a team-high 28 appearances while picthing 35 total innings in mid-relief for the Owls, allowing just 28 hits, seven earned runs and striking out 43... Had a batting average against of just .211 and allowed just 15 walks and eight hits for extra bases... Earned the win at SEC foe Goergia (2/20) after going two innings allowing just one hit and striking out three Bulldog batters in a 2-1 victory for KSU... Picked up a pair of clutch saves for KSU during the A-Sun Tournament, one over Florida Gulf Coast (5/22) and one against North Florida (5/26), helping propel the Owls to the championship game... Made 13 appearances without giving up a hit and and 19 giving up just one hit...
2012 - Summer League - (Lima Locos / Great Lakes)
McCalvin threw 23.2 innings this season, allowing just one run and maintaining a .38 ERA... The native of Leesburg, Ga., surrendered only 12 hits while striking out 31 hitters in 16 appearances as the Locos closer; earning him the No. 14 prospect on the Great Lakes Top-30 Prospect list.
