2014: Quickly rose to the top of the pitching staff as the Friday night starter for the Owls, earning All-Atlantic Sun Second Team honors... Earned an ERA of 3.48 with a 7-3 record in his 18 appearances, all of which were starts, while ranking in the top five in the conference in strikeouts with his 75... Held opponents to just a .260 batting average, allowing just 100 hits and 39 earned runs in 101 innings of work... Set a team season-high with nine strikeouts during a win over USC Upstate (4/17) and had five or more K's in nine outings... Team did not lose during a span of nine starts from the righty in the later half of the season... Earned starts in the A-Sun Tournament, NCAA Regional and Super Regional contests...

2013: Hillyer made 10 appearances during his first season at Kennesaw State, making five starts as well with a 1-2 overall record and a 3.13 ERA... Gave up just 16 hits in 23 innings pitched while striking out 27... Batters hit for just a .200 average off of Hillyer, the second lowest batting average against on the squad... Went five innings giving up just two hits against Georgia State (4/16) with five strikeouts... First collegiate win came against Alabama State (2/27) with a four-inning outing...

High School: Hilyer was selected in the 20th round, No. 617 overall by the Miami Marlins in the 2012 MLB Draft... 2011 Region 8 Player of the Year... Team Georgia selection as a Sophomore and Junior... 3 time All-Region... Georgia Dugout Club top 100... 12-2 with 139 k’s and a 1.83 ERA Career Pitching... Hit .472, with 22 HR’s and 30 2b’s in his career.
