During his senior season at Lumpkin County High School he posted 56 strikeouts in 26 innings pitched ... An impressive hitter, he went 4-for-4 with two runs batted in versus East Hall (3/18/09) ... Went 3-for-4 with a home run and four runs batted in against Pickens (3/20/09) ... Led Lumpkin County in hist and runs batted in his senior season ... Was a member of the national championship team at the Tournament of Champions in Cincinnati, Ohio … During the summer of 2008, he led Easton Team Georgia with an 11-1 record.
