Clint Harrison joined the Kennesaw State baseball family in the fall of 2016 and will serve as a volunteer assistant coach under Mike Sansing.
Harrison comes to Kennesaw State after serving time as a graduate assistant at Shorter, an assistant at Southern Poly, a high school assistant and served as a head coach at Aplalachee High School, totaling six years of experience in the state of Georgia before joining the Owls.
In 2014, Harrison took a job as a high school assistant at Union Grove High School and led Union Grove to the third round of the state playoffs. His experience led to a head coaching job in the summer of 2014, managing the East Cobb Patriots team that competed in the Sunbelt Collegiate League prospect division.
Harrison’s experience in 2014 helped land a head coaching position at Apalachee High School for two seasons prior to joining the Black and Gold.
Prior to his time with Union Grove and the East Cobb Patriots, Harrison began coaching at Southern Poly as an assistant for the 2013 season. His leadership helped guide the Hornets to a 39-19 season as he was responsible for infielders and outfielders, assisted with hitters, and assisted with recruiting.
Harrison began his coaching career as a graduate assistant from 2010-12 at Shorter, helping out with the infielders and outfielders, assisted with hitters, assisted with recruiting, and was the head JV coach. His leadership helped the Hawks to back-to-back 40-18 seasons, and reached a regional in 2012.
As a player, Harrison served as a second baseman at Truett McConnell College from 2006-08 before transferring to Shorter from 2008-10. Harrison earned a Bachelor’s in Science degree in Sport Management and was a two-time Academic All-Conference selection.
Harrison earned his MBA in ’13 and is originally from McDonough, Ga.
