James “Bo” Way joins the staff as a former KSU standout and seventh-round draft pick by the Angels in 2014. He will serve as a hitting and outfield coach.

Way recently spent the last six years in the Los Angeles Angels organization as an outfielder and pitcher. He made it as high as the AAA affiliate for the Angels. In the MILB, he accumulated 621 games, 2,418 plate appearances, and posted a .278 career batting average.

In two seasons at Kennesaw State, he finished with a career .333 batting average. He also played a pivotal role in the Owls' 2014 Super Regionals team at as a starting OF and leadoff left-handed bat. He was named a team captain by his teammates in 2014, when he also received a place in the ASUN Preseason All-Conference team.

Way is finishing his degree at KSU in integrative studies, with a minor in psychology. He is a native of Brunswick, Ga.
