Ben was the ace of the Kennesaw State staff last season...Finished the season with an 8-2 record and posted a 4.22 earned run average...Had 39 strikeouts (3rd) in 79.0 innings pitched, second most on the Owls[apos] staff...His eight victories led the Owls, one ahead of Bubba Blalock[apos]s seven...He appeared in 16 games, starting in 13 contests...Went five or more innings in ten of his starts...Had four no-decisions...Kennesaw State had a 10-3 record in games in which he started...He won his final four decisions of the year...Held left-handed hitters to a .295 (23-for-78) average, while righties batted .293 (69-for-232)...Allowed just one earned run in his first 16.1 innings of work...Threw a season-high eight innings and struck out three while walking none in a 4-3 complete game win over Peach Belt Conference rival USC Aiken on April 16...Had a season high seven strikeouts during a 4-1 victory over North Florida on March 12...Earned his first win of the season on February 15 against Shorter when he gave up just four hits and did not allow a run in five innings...Allowed only one hit and struck out four in 5.1 innings to earn the win against GC&SU on April 10...Allowed a run on three hits in seven innings of work during the Owls[apos] 11-4 win over USC Upstate on February 26...Finished the year with a 5-2 Conference record.
